The Comedy Show with Joey Elias
Montreal's own Joey Elias began performing comedy in 1992 after losing a pool hall bet to a friend. His loss was the comedy world's gain. Since then, Joey has appeared in no less than 10 Just For Laughs Festivals and the 2004 Just For Laughs Comedy Tour. That same year he ventured to Afghanistan to entertain Canadian troops. From stage to screen, Joey has appeared in several roles including "The Wool Cap" with William H. Macy and "The Day After Tomorrow" with Dennis Quaid.
In his comedy career, Joey has appeared 7 times at Montreal 's International Comedy Festival "Just For Laughs". His two gala performances have been televised on the CBC, and can still be seen on The Comedy Network. Joey has also appeared on his very own Canadian National TV special "Comedy Now". Joey was also the host of CBC's " All Access Pass " from the 2004 Just For Laughs Festival. Joey now travels worldwide headlining clubs and making numerous TV appearances. From England , to the US , Joey traveled across Canada in 2004 as part of the "Just For Laughs Cross Canada Comedy Tour", and in the summer of 2004, Joey traveled to Afghanistan where he entertained Canadian troops stationed at Camp Julien and Camp Warehouse.
Joey is now spreading his horizons into the realm of acting. With appearances in "The Art of War", "Redeemer", the blockbuster film "The Day After Tomorrow" starring Dennis Quaid, and "The Wool Cap" starring William H. Macy.
A big man, with big shoes and big talent, guaranteed to deliver big laughs.
