The owner of the now infamous Ikea monkey is going to court to get the animal back.
Yasmin Nakhuda will appear in Ontario Superior Court Thursday in her bid to bring Darwin home.
The Japanese macaque was taken to Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary in Sunderland after turning up in the parking lot of a North York Ikea last weekend.
Darwin made international headlines for his surprise appearance & his tiny double-breasted shearling coat.
Nakhuda says she left her pet in the car as she shopped & he escaped.
Her motion argues Darwin was "unlawfully" taken from her. If she can't bring the monkey home, Nakhuda wants to at least have regular, scheduled access to him.

A memo that is going to be sent out to some doctors on Monday morning that could potentially lay the groundwork for some infighting amongst medical professionals has been obtained by Newstalk 1010.
The Coalition of Family Physicians and Specialists of Ontario says many of its members aren't happy with the recent contract between the province and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA), so it wants to start an alternative to the OMA: DoctorsOntario.
