You can call them crazy if you want, but hundreds of brave souls will strip down to their swimsuits again this sunday and run into the bone chilling water of Lake Ontario. It's the 27 th annual Polar Bear dip at Coronation Park in Oakville. It is always a good time and a  huge fundraiser too.To date the polar bear dip as raised over 8 hundred thousand dollars for World Vision and 150 thousand dollars last year alone. It's canada's largest polar bear dip. It starts at 2 pm New Year's Day at Coronation Park in Oakville. It may seem a little crazy , but did you know those who do it, do it for others. The money raised  will help provide dependable clean water sources around the world. Officials also say the risk of hypothermia is very low because participants are in and out of the water within seconds, and there are paramedics and firefighters on scene with warm blankets, boots, mittens and scarf's to keep warm.
