A Halton cop has been suspended from active duty, while officers investigate a charge of mischief.

27-year-old Chris Peters was charged after an incident where it's alleged he threw items off a 4th story balcony from an Oakville apartment.

Police aren't saying what was thrown, or why it was tossed.

Peters has been suspended with pay for the time being.
