A 41 year-old man is dead after a collision near Lawrence and Don Mills.

His motorcycle collided with a Volkswagen around 3 p.m. Friday.

The driver of the motorcycle was heading eastbound on Lawrence west of Don Mills attempting to turn right when he collided with another driver heading westbound attempting to turn left into the Shops at Don Mills.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered life threatening injuries and was rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital where he later died.

Police say it's too early to say if charges will be laid.

His name is not being released.
