Executive committee to discuss fishing along waterfront
Toronto anglers want parts of Toronto's waterfront to be designated as Gone Fishing zones to let them fish.
Councillor Paula Fletcher is bringing the motion to the executive committee on Tuesday.
She says she wants people to be able to fish along as much of the waterfront as possible.
But deputy mayor Doug Holyday says he wants to hear from staff on the matter first.
Signs went up on June 5 in public parks between Unwin Ave and Sunnyside Park saying there is no fishing allowed. As many as 10,000 anglers have been affected.
