Bullet Ban For Toronto?

Posted By: Dave Bradley · 6/13/2012 6:00:00 AM

Councillor Adam Vaughan is proposing new zoning bylaws that would prohibit the storage, sale and use of ammunition in Toronto.

The move comes in the wake of the Eaton Center shooting where two people were killed.

Vaughan's bylaw would include bullets for all guns, not just handguns.

Normally, in Canada, gun control laws are set by the Provincial or Federal Governments.

Currently, to buy bullets in Toronto, the person would have to be over 18 years old and would also have to have a valid permit for the gun.

But you see that is exactly why we keep quiet, that is why we do not speak up, had I stated that I need 5 million dollars to create a program for black kids in the city to stop the gun culture, money would have come oozing to me. What I posted is bad medicine and it should never be stated. 5 years I have spent to get Children Aid Society put under a single jurisdiction to supervise it, we wanted to put it under the ombudsman, and neither the conservatives support it nor The Liberals. So you have a single organization affecting so many people’s lives and never questioned by any one. The only time you hear about CAS is only when they demand to get millions and millions more, and Ontarians pay up for sure. What I posted is a diatribe trust me, build the jails and create longer sentences you will clean up the city, make the parents the enemies sir. Let us go with banning the gun powder and we need more swimming pools and libraries. The city has the moneys anyways.

We as parents will remain watching on the sides for we have no problem with the tomb stones trust me, and I am done with this thread.

@EdwardM_8180 I too am a parent, I read your posts, am not disputing nor disparaging - my point, this site isn't your blog or soapbox, keep it down to a paragraph like most here, before the moderators here limit us to less.
