Dog Flees Onto Gardiner Expressway After Being Rescued from Locked Car
It started out as a reminder not to leave your dogs locked in parked cars.
It ended up a near disaster on the Gardiner Expressway.
Fire crews were called out to the Loblaws Parking Lot on Queens Quay just after noon on Thursday to rescue a dog from the back of a parked SUV.
Rescue the dog they did, but after trying to put the dog onto a leash it ran off eventually making his way to the Gardiner Expressway.
The rottweiler is said to be in good condition. He luckily was not hit by any cars.
Police were able to get him into the back of a cruiser once the dog became tired...and laid down on the Expressway in front a stationary van.
