Thanking everyone involved in the recovery effort, Premier Dalton McGuinty offered his condolences to a community "struck by terrible tragedy".

McGuinty arrived in Elliot Lake Wednesday afternoon, after emergency crews found two bodies in the rubble.

The Premier acknowledged the grim discovering, identifying the remains as Dolores and Lucy, noting crews did everything they could to recover the bodies.

"We owe that to the families, we owe that to all the people of Elliot Lake," McGuinty said.

McGuinty confirmed there would be a review on the events in the community, noting no human being is perfect so there will be lessons to be learned.

The Premier will be meeting with the mayor of Elliot Lake on Thursday.
