VIDEO: SIU Says Officers Won't be Charged in Arrest of Toronto Protester

Posted By: David Woodard · 7/3/2012 12:43:00 PM

The Special Investigation's Unit has concluded there are no reasonable grounds to charge a Toronto Police officer with any criminal offence after a Transgendered woman was bloodied while being arrested at teh rotunda just south of the University courthouse.

The SIU report says 37-year-old Angela Turvey took a few swings at the officers when they tried to arrest her after she was protesting the arrest of an Occupy Toronto Protester.

That's when she was punched and hauled to the ground suffering a nose fracture and a cut above the eye.

The SIU director says her refusal to back away, and then resisting arrest, meant the officer had the lawful authority to make that arrest.

Good! More of those Occupy delinquents should be given the same treatment!

With any luck, the next time she considers trying to stop the arrest of another rioter, vandal, or miscellaneous scumbag, her broken nose will ache and she'll think twice.
