Councillor Questions Mayor Ford's Work Ethic

Adam Vaughan is accusing Mayor Rob Ford of doing very little, and barely even shows up for work these days.

The Councillor complains all of the conversations about the Mayor of late have little to do with his work at City Hall, just his antics outside of it.

Including 'partying' and 'kissing girls' in the Entertainment District.  In fact, Vaughn says if you 'Google' "Mayor Ford and Entertainment District" you'll find pictures of the Mayor. (We did, and the results picked up nothing)

The Mayor has not responded to the accusations, but Councillor Frances Nunziata is taking up Rob Ford's fight.

She says Vaughan ought to concentrate on his own constituents, rather than pick on the Mayor.

Callers to the Jim Richards Showgram agreed with Nunziata, some saying Vaughan has no class, or decency.  One caller said Vaughan, quote, " had no balls," and called him "an a$%hole"

    So Rob Ford collects a six figure pay cheque while possibly not doing his job and the people do not care. Meanwhile a bus driver who gets no scheduled breaks stops for a coffee and these same people call the bus driver gravy. Unbelievable how stupid the average person has become.

      @FrederickH Then, according to your own evidence, you must be the most "average person" out there. The 2 situations are not even remotely comparable. Believing anything Vaughan has to say about Ford is like getting an opinion about Coke from the Pepsi guy. You're too funny ! *snortsnortguffaw*

    Adam Vaughan is a bore. The guy talks in monotone. Has he ever laughed at anything? Does he have any personality. This guy may run for Mayor of Toronto and he has nothing positive to offer the people of the City. Constant criticism no matter what the issue. His constituants should boot his ass out of office. Offer something positive or get the hell out of our City.

    I went to public school with girly boys like Adam.So and so did this and that & I'm telling teacher. Good thing he's not in construction or god forbid the military or he would always be walking funny from getting his butt kicked. Teacher, Robbie was in a liquor store, and a KFC, and he kissed a girl right in the entertainment district.

    The people to believe Adam must be from the leftist just like Adam. Are you telling me you believe everything Adam is saying? common. I have never in my life seen such a jerk as Adam. He does nothing but worry what others are doing yet he shows nothing for his people.
    I would love to see Adam in the role for mayor for like a week. the taxes would go up by 10%

    It's becoming more & more difficult to support Rob Ford, Ford needs to stand up for himself and stop having others speak for him. He needs to give what he gets.

    Problem is it's obvious in a battle of wits he is sorely under equipped,

    He needs a major P.R. makeover & I don"t care how much it costs because nobody wants an a$%hole like Adam Vaughn running this city 2 years from now!!!!!!!!!!

    I have never heard of Vaughn being caught in a lie, now Ford on the other hand has been caught in numerous lies. Yet Ford's mindless supporters still believe everything he says. Conservatives are mindless fools who need to be told what to do and how to do it or they are completely lost.

    This coming from a guy who had a snit at Rob Ford's swearing in ceremony and turned his chair around to not face the Mayor. Really, now.

      @John That's the first thing I thought of too. His maturity stopped evolving when he was about 10. The turning the chair around this was so petulant and so childish that beggars belief that an adult make would actually do that.

      And the ideas he's come up with since, like banning bullets, would also suggest that the simply isn't that bright.

      The people in his riding should be ashamed that they elected such a callow, ridiculous man to office.

    Here's what adam vaughan has brought us -
    a disastrous st. clair streetcar
    ban on gun ranges (that really brought the crime rate down)
    ban on plastic bags (even though paper is more wasteful environmentally)
    lack of subway expansion
    and let's not forget his attempt at...... banning bullets

    toronto would be much better off if the likes of adam vaughan were more absent

    it's quality mr. vaughan, not quantity. you lack in quality

    i would vote for Adam Vaughan in a heartbeat. At least after his comments he didn't duck the media or hide from his statements. He tells it like it is about this mayor. He had the stones to come on the radio and was on air a few times explaining his comments.
    If it was Ford making negative comments about Vaughn or anyone else and he was asked to explain himself. Ford would of been MIA.
    After all the gong show antics with this mayor and his brother for the past 2 years i have zero sympathy.

      @ArtC All I can say about Adam Vaughan is keep the course. The more you talk the more people see that you are nothing but an attention whore. Adam has no personality, and he has nothing to do but look at social media sites......and we all know that everything written in those places is always true. His comments will bite him in the ass on the next election.

    adam vaughan shows off the worst of city council, the pettiness, small-mindedness and sheer stupidity that only serves to hurt our city. he proves time and time again a complete inability to function. listening to shelley carroll this morning with her support of vaughan shows how completely inept she is as well.

    no wonder this city council is so dysfunctional, with idiots like these 2

    these 2 couldn't run a lemonade stand without a massive debt

    This Adam Vaughan is unbelievable. Just read his Toronto Life interview and tell me if you have any respect for him after that! He is quoted as saying he never ventures out of downtown and to him there is Toronto and then the rest of Canada. I am sure he lives in his office in city hall because he has no life! I can't imagine anyone but a few closed-minded and like-minded ignorant voters electing him and I hope his future in politics starts to suffer as I can't understand his success to this point!

      @Joe Please don't vote. I'm sure you are good at something. Politics, not so much. Being an informed citizen, no. Caring about anything other than your selfish person, expecting with entitlement to drive on the city roads without paying taxes, without supporting transit, without paying the workers.....just shameful, disgusting. When will people like you at long last develop some sense of responsibility, maturity, reasonableness....never. so shut up and don't vote, for sweet biscuits' sake

    get real, Ford defenders. Vaughn and all the others should have walked out of Cherry's clown show that disrespected the city; Ford is incompetent and lazy. Not fit to be a councillor, let alone mayor. Etobicoke voters should be ashamed. Ford's not the mayor, in reality. Get used to it. And go ahead and vote for his re-election, along with the other 20% of the population who you can count on to be totally brain dead. Go ahead...If you are conservative (= disloyal to coummunity, unpatriotic, ill-informed, selfish today---look in your mirror, listen to your talk, it's true), if that's who you are really are, then think about how low Ford is bringing down the right. Credibility shot there. Won't be another rightist mayor even in the running for two generations at least. Go ahead, then, support the fool.

    If Vaughan spent as much time working to fix and build this city as he does dissing Ford we might all have a better city ... are we not suppose to work together! and besides Vaughan should run next time! remember NEXT time.

    Vaughan is a child!
