A fifth victim has come forward in a string of sex assaults at York University, this as the suspect was making a court appearance on Tuesday morning.

20-year-old Oshane Leach was arrested by Toronto police on Monday evening, just four days after the assaults occured.

Police say three women reported being sexually assaulted near Vari Hall on the university's Keele campus last Thursday.

In  each incident, a man approached a woman, struck up a conversation, then groped her as she walked away.

Police say a fourth victim in the Thursday string of sex assaults came forward before Leach's court appearance Tuesday.

The fifth victim claims she was sexually assaulted near Vari Hall on Friday, and came forward to police on Monday.

Leach was remanded into custody and will be back in court on Wednesday morning.
