Signs To Stop Dogs Being Left in Hot Cars?
If there is one incident of someone leaving a child or a pet in a hot car, it's one too many.
With that in mind, one Toronto City Councillor wants plaza owners to put up signs warning of the potential dangers of leaving kids or dogs in cars, while the temperature inside the vehicle soars.
Etobicoke Centre Councillor Gloria Lindsay Luby pitched the idea in hopes it makes people think twice before walking away from their car.
The signs would read: "Warning. Heat kills children and pets."
There have been a number of cases where pets have been left in cars this summer, including one fatal incident, where a couple from Sudbury who left their chocolate Lab in their car in Vaughan Mills.
