Report: City's Latest Murder Victim Was at Deadly BBQ

There are unconfirmed reports that the city's latest murder victim was at Monday's night's barbecue on Danzig Street, where two people were killed in gunfight that is believed to be gang-related.

Police have identified the victim as 27-year-old Daniel Davis.

Toronto Police were called to Flemington Park Public School in the Lawrence and Allen Road area, where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds shortly after 1 a.m., Thursday.

Police say he was found in the schoolyard and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

This marks the third straight night that gun violence has claimed someone's life in the city.

This is Toronto's 30th murder of the year.

Police haven't confirmed the victim's identity or said if the murder is connected to Monday's.

    Several deaths, and multiple shootings - and it isn't the end of this week yet!

    All the same voices will be heard about banning guns, or, even better - now it is charge $1000 per bullet. Here is a news flash - the same licenses needed to buy a gun are needed to by bullets. AND I am sure the shooter in this latest horrible crime was a legal, registered, gun owner who went through stringent police checks and courses lasting many days in gun use and safety.

    Or perhaps this cretin, in a LONG line of cretins, went to the playground at Flemington Park, at night, and BOUGHT his gun - that was SMUGGLED into this country as are (statistically) most of the guns used in this manner. Oh, bullets also.

    And the brainiacs in government are going to affect cuts in our border service. Bet you if one of their relatives was shot they would have the army full time at the borders - full cavity searches for all!!!

    If someone is convicted of a shooting, cut off their hands. There will be no reoffenders.

    Gov't should do what they did on show The Wire. They let all the gangbangers hang out in an abandoned area where they could do what they want and no cops would intervene. If they did anything illegal outside this area they'd be arrested.

    Let these guys deal drugs to eachother and kill eachother and leave innocent people out of it
