Blue Jays Trade For Pitching Help
The Toronto Blue Jays have made a huge splash in the trade market.
Looking for pitching help, the Jays sent reliever Fransicso Cordero and outfielder ben Francisco along with 5 prospects to the Houston Astros for pitchers J.A Happ, Brandon Lyon and David Carpenter.
For Lyon, it's his second stint with the Jays. He broke into the majors with Toronto in 2001/02.
Francisco Cordero was acquired this season by the Jays as a back-up to Sergio Santos, but was ineffective in his role.
The Jays are last in the American League East, but are still within reach of the Wildcard playoff spot.
