Humidex Advisory Issued
If you enjoy sweltering heat, Monday will be the perfect day for you.
Environment Canada has issued a humidex advisory for the GTA. We're expected to reach a high of 35, but factoring in the humidity, it will feel more like 43 degrees. Applying sunscreen is advised since the UV index will be at 7, or high.
Along with dressing for the heat, you'll want to pack an umbrella because some rough thunderstorms are expected in the early to late afternoon. Winds are expected to gust between 50 and 70 kilometres per hour.
Monday could be a record-breaking day. The all-time heat record for July 23 was set in 1999 at a temperature of 34.7 C at Pearson International.
