Canada has its first medal of the London Games.

Divers Emilie Heymans & Jennifer Abel have claimed bronze in the women's 3m synchronized event.

World champions Minxia Wu & He Zi of China won gold.  Americans Kelci Bryant & Abigail Johnston took silver.

The result makes Heymans the 1st Canadian to reach the podium in 4 consecutive summer Olympics & the 1st female diver to to the same.

Canada is hoping for a top 12-finish in the medal count in London.
