An innocent bystander was injured during a police pursuit Tuesday night in Mississauga.

Peel police say a suspect vehicle mounted the curb and struck a 46 year old man on Absolute Avenue near Hurontario, just before 8:30. The driver then fled.

Police say the victim suffered a fractured leg, along with internal and head injuries. He was taken to St. Mike's hospital.

Meantime, the S.I.U has taken over the case, in which the suspect, is still outstanding.
