Needle Found In Air Canada Sandwich
A disturbing find in a pre-packaged sandwich aboard an Air Canada flight from Victoria to Toronto.
A sewing needle was found on Monday evening, stuffed inside the sandwich, but no injuries were reported.
Air Canada has said a full investigation is already underway and there have been no other reports of similar incidents.
Monday’s discovery comes two weeks after similar needles were discovered in sandwiches served on four Delta Air Line flights leaving from Amsterdam.
The FBI is taking care of the investigation into those incidents.
Air Canada spokesman could not confirm who the airline’s caterer is, but wrote: “We are working closely with our caterers to ensure heightened security measures have been put in place.”
