A 19-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after being shot by the Lawrence East SRT Station in the Lawrence and Kennedy area. Toronto EMS says he's in life-threatening condition.

Toronto Police say it happened at around one o'clock in the afternoon.

No suspect is in custody but police describe him as a white man wearing black clothes.

GO Train service in the area could be affected. The next Stouffville line train leaves Union Station at 4:18.

The TTC says the SRT is running as scheduled.
