A Toronto man has been arrested after an early morning altercation involving an axe.

Police say Friday morning just before 9am, they were called out to the Bloor and Dundas area.

They arrived and discovered a man suffering from serious but non-life threatening injuries.  The victim was taken to hospital.

Shortly after, they arrested 64-year-old Rallin Edward Lawes on attempted murder charges.  He's due in court tomorrow.
