Nexus line unveiled at Billy Bishop airport
Getting through security at Billy Bishop airport has just been made easier.
The federal government unveiled a new Nexus line at the island airport Tuesday morning.
Cabinet minister Steven Fletcher made the announcement.
"This is really going to make a big difference for the convenience [of travellers]," he says.
Nexus lines are already available at the country's eight largest airports, including Pearson, as well as at border crossings. They have been added to four other midsize airports today - St John's, Moncton, Quebec City and Kelowna.
It costs $50 to get a Nexus card for a five-year period.
