Peel Police are probing a case of human remains found in a park in Mississauga.

Cops say a concerned citizen called them around 11 o'clock on Wednesday morning, about the possible remains found in Hewick Meadows Park.

Constable Erin Cooper told Newstalk1010, that the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau is investigating, but the incident is not yet considered a homicide.

Cooper says the remains are not skeletal, but she couldn't say how long they'd been there.

There's no word on a cause of death and cops can't even say if the remains are those of a woman or a man.
