Remains found in Scarborough
Toronto Police are investigating after remains were discovered in the Kennedy Road and Bonis Avenue area of Scarborough.
The coroner’s office is working to determine if they belong to a person.
Authorities say a cyclist called in to report the find just after 1:00pm Saturday.
Police blocked off the scene once they arrived and say that the remains are now being examined by the coroner's office.
It is not clear yet whether the remains are human and if so, whether they are connected to the severed body parts case in Mississauga.
The discovery prompted detectives from Toronto Police to reach out to their counterparts in Peel Region.
They are now working together determine if there are any possible links between these 2 investigations.
