York Regional Police are dealing with a bizarre case after the bodies of two men were found in a car in King Township Tuesday morning.

Police say at 6:15 a.m., a passer-by contacted them about a car at the roadside and noticed a foul odour coming from it on 15th Side Road just east of Weston Road.

Emergency crews responded to the scene where the bodies were found inside in the vehicle. Police have not identified the men or where they are from.

Police say notes were posted inside and around the vehicle warning of dangerous gas and to call 9-1-1.

King and Vaughan Fire are at the scene as a precaution to determine what they are dealing with in terms of dangerous gases or chemicals.

Police say traffic in the area will not be affected because the road is a dead end road that is barely used.

The public is asked to stay away from the area as fire personnel continue to decontaminate the vehicle and surrounding area.

The coroner has been called to the scene. Police won't say exactly what it is they are dealing with.
