Mayor Refuses to Have a Driver
Toronto's mayor says he won't be getting a personal driver.
Depsite pleas from some of his greatest allies, including his own brother, Rob Ford says he doesn't believe in wasting taxpayers money, and will drive himself.
"A million people a day go to work in the city and they drive ... themselves. I don’t see why I’m any different."
The mayors comments come a week after pictures surfaced showing the mayor driving in his Escalade on the Gardiner Expressway, reading a document.
Councillor Doug Ford told Newstalk1010 last week he would work hard to ensure the mayor was driven around while on city business.
Rob Ford made the comments during a press conference today supporting a boys U-12 soccer team.
