Former Toronto Cheerleader Injured in Croatia

Posted By: David Woodard · 8/22/2012 11:04:00 AM

The family of a former Toronto Argonaut cheerleader are asking for help after Anna Leibenko hit her head when she fell off a sail boat in Croatia.

She's now in a coma, in a hospital in the Balkan country and she didn't buy travel insurance.

Her family is now trying to bring her home but it costs a lot of money - $93,000.

So far they have 34-thousand dollars saved up, but they've set up a website to get donations.  Click here.

Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for her and her family, But....I'm so tired of this.. go to a bank and take out a loan...... we're just going through the States for 2 days and I've purchased extra insurance ..

Sad and unfortunate...many people experience these things daily and they don't get any sympathy from the public. This is a shameless new low for people who decide against purchasing travel insurance. Get Well and Come Home.
    Hopefully lesson has been learned.

This is news??? Disgusting! If I couldn't pay my mortgage no one would have sympathy on me. Millions of Canadians struggle to pay their rents/mortgages and do not set up trust funds to gauge the public. Let's get on with the real news here - she had the money for a vacation now find your way back home
