In between comedy sets in Toronto Wednesday, American comedian Dave Chappelle took the opportunity to meet Mayor Rob Ford.

Chappelle is on the last day of his 3-days in Toronto.  He decided just last week that he would perform his stand up routine at the Elgin Winter Garden Theatre between August 20-22.

No reason has been given from the mayor's office as to why Chappelle wanted to meet with Rob Ford.

In late July, actors Zach Galifianikis and Will Ferrell met with Mayor Ford to drum up publicity ahead of their movie "The Campaign."
