A jury in San Jose, California has ruled that Samsung ripped off the innovative technology used by Apple to create iPhones and iPads.

It has ordered Samsung to pay Apple $1.05 billion for patent infringement.

Samsung had filed its own countersuit, but the jury rejected all of the South Korean company's claims.

The jurors found that several of Samsung's products illegally use Apple creations such as the ability to zoom text with a finger tap.
