Krista Ford has apologized for comments she made on the social media website 'Twitter.' Wednesday evening, in response to Toronto Police warning the public about a string of sex assaults in the Annex and Kensington neighbourhoods, the mayor's niece tweeted about the necessity for women to 'stand tall, take self-defense classes and not dress like a whore.' Thursday, she again took to her twitter account and apologized. 'I didn't mean to cause such an alarm and I apologize if I did. I just want women to be safe.' Krista Ford played for the Toronto Franchise of the Lingerie Football league last year, before giving it up.
