Labour Day Long Weekend Round-Up
Welcome to the last long weekend of the summer.
As always, OPP will be monitoring the 400-series highways and looking for distracted and aggressive drivers. Also being enforced is the "move-over" law. Just as it applies to emergency vehicles, it applies to police cruisers that have their lights flashing, and are pulled off to the right shoulder of the highway. If it's safe to do so, you must move into the next lane, or at least slow down. First offence is anywhere from $400 to $2,000, plus three demerit points.
