UPDATE: 3 Toronto Police officers, charged by S.I.U.
Three Toronto Police officers are facing charges after an incident that took place on June 4th.
That's according to the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU), which looks into allegations involving police.
This all stems from when officers arrested 26-year-old Stalin Kiprotich near Kipling and Finch at about 8:30 that night.
SIU spokesperson Monica Hudon says he was put in his cell and then transported to hospital after he complained of a sore chest overnight. He suffered from three fractured ribs.
Detective Constable Jason Davis, Detective Constable Keith Osborne and Detective Brian Kay are each facing one charge of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
They'll be back in court on October 9th.
