A former Argonauts cheerleader who was seriously injured in Croatia is back home.

24-year-old Anna Leibenko landed at Pearson Airport this morning and was sent straight to Sunnybrook hospital.

Leibenko was on vacation when she fell from a catamaran and hit her head on a ledge. She then fell into the ocean.

The Thornhill woman has been in hospital on life support in Split, Croatia since the accident last month. Leibenko has brain injuries and fractures to her skull and face.

A website set up to raise funds to bring her back home has raised $140,000 so far.
