After a string of sexual assaults in the Annex, there's a rally planned for Monday night in an attempt to reclaim the neighbourhood.

A number of women have reported being sexually assaulted in the area recently, with police believing that one person is responsible for 8 of those attacks.

According to the claims, a suspect walks behind the victim, gropes them and runs away.  Due to the quick nature of the attacks, only a brief description has been released.

Police say the suspect in four incidents is described as a black man, 17-35 years of age, 5'7"-5'9" tall with a stocky build. In two other incidents, he is described as black, 25 to 40 years old, 6'0" with short black hair.

The rally is set to begin at Christie Pits at 7 p.m. Monday and those taking part will walk through the neighbourhood for about two hours.
