UPDATED: Torso found in suitcase in Lake Ontario
It will take a post-mortem to determine if a human torso found in Lake Ontario Wednesday belongs to Guang Hua Liu.
2 boaters found the torso inside a suitcase, floating some 2km off the shore of Bluffer's Park in Scarborough.
Toronto Homicide Detective Leslie Dunkley says the body part is so badly decomposed, police can't tell yet if it belongs to a man or a woman. An autopsy is set for Thursday.
Until that autopsy is done, Dunkley couldn't say if there are any links to Liu's murder & dismemberment. Her torso is unaccounted for after many of her body parts turned up in Scarborough & Mississauga last month. Liu's ex-boyfriend Chun Qi Jang has been charged with 2nd degree murder in her death.
Peel Police have been notified about the find.
