Man Pleads Guilty to Break and Enter Charges in Farmhouse Dungeon Case
The who built a dungeon in the basement of an abandoned Pickering farmhouse has pleaded guilty to Break and Enter with the intent to commit an indictable offence charges.
44-year-old Robert Edwin White was arrested after police found a confinement room in the house that was slated for demolition. White insists he built the room to kidnap a woman who provided support to his ex-wife.
While an accepted record of facts was read into court Wednesday, White told the court he never intended to hurt or kill anyone. White will be sentenced later this year.
The farmhouse was deliberately set ablaze last January. White has never been charged with that incident.
