Police Investigate TTC & East End Sex Assaults
Toronto police are looking for a man wanted in connection with a sex assault in the city's east end.
Police say a 24-year-old woman was walking in the area of Warden Avenue and Bridletowne Circle just before 11 p.m., Wednesday, when a man walked up behind her, grabbed her and tried to drag her into a dark area.
The woman was able to resist. The suspect fled was last seen running towards the back of L'Amoreaux Collegiate Institute.
The suspect is described as male, dark brown skin, approximately 17-19 years-old, about 5'8", medium stocky build, short dark hair, clean shaven, brown eyes, wearing a baggy short-sleeve polo shirt with thin white and light-blue stripes. It is believed he spoke Tamil and English with a slight accent.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
Meanwhile, police are warning women who use the TTC of an arrest made in connection with two sex assaults that happened on a subway train Thursday.
Police say a man approached two women from behind and sexually assaulted them.
28-year-old Francisco Villanueva of Toronto has been charged with 2 counts of sexual assault. He is expected to make a court appearance on Friday morning.
Police believe there may be more victims.
