No matter where you are in Southern Ontario this weekend, expect rain and lots of it and even the possibility of thunderstorms.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for all of Southern Ontario including all of the Greater Toronto Area about a system moving in Friday night into Saturday morning that will bring lots of rain.

The system is expected to bring in anywhere from 20 to 40 mm by Saturday evening. Some areas could see as much as 50 mm of rain with a thunderstorm or two.

Environment Canada also says that we can expect fall-like temperatures as cooler air is expected to be ushered in by strong winds on Saturday and Sunday.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings.
