Statement from York University

"We are deeply troubled by this reported sexual assault that occurred early this morning and have been advised by Toronto Police Service (TPS) that an arrest has been made.  

This is an ongoing police investigation and York is providing the TPS with our full support.   The safety of our community is our top priority.  

Our focus is on ensuring the survivor and students have the information and support they need, including counselling services."
