An elderly woman has died after she was struck by a car on Bayview Ave. near Finch Ave. E.

Police say the woman was struck by a vehicle that was pulling out of a driveway, at around 9:45 a.m., Monday.

The woman was taken to Sunnybrook Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Bayview was closed for a number of hours while police investigated.

The woman has been idetified as a 75 year old woman, but Officers say her name will not be released.
