Remember the story of Karen Klein?

She is the 68 year old school bus monitor in New York who was featured in a youtube video, being bullied relentlessly by four elementary school students.

Klein was in Toronto on Tuesday, picking up a cheque worth more than 7 hundred thousand dollars.

That money was raised, in part, thanks to a Toronto man.

Max Sidorov watched the video, and immediately set up an account on the fundraising website indiegogo.com.

Soon after, 30 thousand people from 84 countries started contributing to the fund.

The amount quickly exceeded the 5 thousand dollars that Sidorov hoped to raise, to send Klein on a vacation.

The boys involved have been identified and suspended for a full year.

The New York woman says she's going to retire.
