One Liberal MPP is demanding an apology from the Tories after one of their members compared the Ornge scandal to the Nazis covering up what was happening during World War II.

Yesterday, PC MPP Jim McDonell accused the Liberals of trying to hide what was going on at Ornge Air Ambulance. He went on to say it is much like when Canada declared war on "another tyrant" 73 years ago and the people of "Nazi Germany" didn't know what was going on.

Liberal MPP Monte Kwinter asked for an apology, underlining comparing the Liberal Government to the Nazis is despicable and unacceptable.

Kwinter says there is no place in the legislature for allegations of hatred or racism which Adolf Hilter's regime was known for. Kwinter called it insulting to all Ontarians.

He not only asked for an apology from McDonell but PC leader Tim Hudak as well.

McDonell has withdrawn the comment and apologized.
