The TTC has OKed a plan to raise fares, keeping them in line with inflation.The price for TTC tokens is set to go up by a dime in 2013, 2014 & 2015. The TTC is also looking at contracting out cleaning jobs to improve its bottom line. Some TTC riders outside St. Clair Station Wednesday are frustrated at the prospect of paying more. They say they'd be willing to do it, if they saw service improve. Some people who live downtown say no matter how much the increase might be, the TTC would still be cheaper & more convenient than driving. LuminolBlue posted on 09/12/2012 09:57 PM Like most people, I wouldn't mind seeing fares go up so long as service is improved. There is downtime but that's expected in any major city with mass trasit. I'm visually impaired so I don't have a choice, I have to take the TTC to and from work, or anywhere else I need to get to and from.
