Ontario is ready to ban the use of tanning beds for people under 18 years old.

The Premier says the Liberal government is prepared to adopt an NDP private members on the matter but says they will suggest improvements.

Dalton McGuinty wouldn't give any details on what they plan on tweaking in the bill.

McGuinty points to increased threat of cancer for younger people using the beds and says the World Health Organization has listed tanning beds in it's highest cancer risk category along with asbestos and smoking.
