Kids Being Asked to Sign Pro-Teacher Petition?

Posted By: David Woodard · 9/14/2012 9:17:00 PM

How would you feel about your child being asked to sign a petition saying, "the government doesn't want you to play soccer after school - sign our petition and we'll fight the McGuinty government."

That apparently is what happened to a grade 2 student at Kew Beach elementary this week.

One parent - Leanne Tapuska says her child was approached by older students during recess and asked to sign the form.

Given the wording on the form she says she doubts the students wrote it themselves.  "I don't know if it was a teachers' kid, but I think for it to come from that age group, it is a little suspect"

Tapuska says she tried to contact the school regarding the form, but received no response.

The Toronto District School Board have yet to respond to the allegations.

There is no way a grade 2 student should be asked to sign a petition for anything !! They might be able to read it but there is no way they would properly understand it.

Aside from that, petitions of any kind should not be taken to school.

I lost respect for teachers and their unions years ago.
They have a right to strike and I have a right to disagree with them.

This is a new low, even for union thugs. The sooner we get these disgusting parasites out of our lives for good, the better.
