Man stabbed at Yonge & St. Clair
An elderly man is in hospital after being stabbed at Yonge St & Clair Ave W.
It happened in the 8pm hour Friday night.
People at the scene say the man was stabbed by his son. Toronto Police haven't been able to confirm that. As many as 6 officers surrounded a child who looked to be about 12-years-old, half in the back of a police cruiser.
The kid was hysterical, crying for mom & to go home.
Toronto EMS tell Newstalk 1010 the victim's injuries are serious but non-life threatening. They couldn't say where the man had been stabbed.
There was no sign of blood at the scene & the busy intersection stayed open while police investigated. One woman, who didn't witness the stabbing, did see a knife she describes as a steak knife on the back of a police cruiser.
