'McGuinty Mondays' Don't Phase Premier

Posted By: Katie Franzios · 9/17/2012 2:02:00 PM

On the first "McGuinty Monday", the premier is repeating calls for teachers to leave kids out of it.

That term was coined by the province's elementary teachers union, who is asking their teachers not to take part in any board meetings or anything outside of their classroom duties on Mondays.

Dalton McGuinty made the comments as school after school in the province is seeing extra curricular activities cancelled as teacher refused to volunteer their time.

This all comes from public teachers' anger over a legislated contract, with unions crying for fair negotiations.

With their ability to attack the taxpayer taken away, the unions have done the only thing that makes sense to their backward mindset: attack the taxpayers' children. It's disgusting. I can only hope that, like any other temper tantrum, this spiteful attack on the children they claim to be standing up for ends soon.

In the meantime, please join me in contacting our MPPs to express your support for Bill 155.

@Richard Collins Do you Richard Collins even know what is in the bill 115?/ ( not 155). clearly that is an indication of how you educated yourself on what is in the bill. I have read the entire bill twice and quite frankly, if any Canadian knew what was actually in the bill, they would be frightened that this is coming from a democratic government. Please read the bill and understand its components before you ask people to support it. NO educated , democratic person would support what is actually in this bill.
