Man Caught Driving 222 km/h East of Toronto
How fast have you ever driven a vehicle?
140 km/h? 160?
How about over 220 km/h?
That's how fast one man was caught driving earlier this week on the 401 near Port Hope.
The OPP caught the driver by plane initially. Jason Miller - a reporter with the Belleville Intelligencer says he was in the OPP plane, and says he saw a black dot on the ground driving much faster than any of the other cars on the road.
The pilot radioed down the report and officers on the ground pulled over the driver.
30-year-old Matthew Lichty of Kitchener had his car impounded, his license suspended for 7 days and was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and marijuana possession.
He's due in a Cobourg court November 7th.
