They waved Canadian flags and held out notebooks to be autographed as dozens of athletes arrived on floats. Some of the Olympians taking part included gold medallist Rosie MacLennan, kayaker Adam van Koeverden, trampolinist Jason Burnett, triathlete Paula Findlay, swimmer Brent Hayden, and rower Rob Gibson.
