VIDEO: McGuinty Admits to Missteps with Gas Plants
The premier found himself in Oakville today - where one of the cancelled power plants would have gone- to proclaim he's taking full responsibility for what he calls two missteps in the energy sector.
Dalton McGuinty says in an ideal world they would get everything perfect but that's not the world we live in. McGuinty maintains they kept the costs for cancelling the Mississauga and Oakville plants as low as they possibly could.
This comes as McGuinty claims opposition parties are finding new ways to hold up regularly scheduled work at Queen's Park, as they debate a contempt of parliament motion.
McGuinty underlines the Liberals gave up all the documents that were asked for, as opposition members claim there are gaps in the files made public yesterday.
He says he's proud of Energy Minister Chris Bentley, who he says wanted to ensure the documents went public without compromising the interest of taxpayers. The premier says he commends him for that.
